As we have done for the past 7 years, this pace will benefit Comfort Zone Camp. Comfort Zone Camp is the nation's largest bereavement camp. Comfort Zone Camps are offered free of charge to children ages 7‐17 who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver. The camps are held year‐round in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey & Virginia. Comfort Zone Camps create an environment where grieving children can have fun & break the isolation death often brings, while learning valuable coping skills for their daily lives. Comfort Zone also hosts grief support groups for adults & children throughout the year, providing a network of support for the whole family. For more information, visit them at http://www.comfortzonecamp.org/ .
This year we are especially honoring the memory of Edward C. DeGuisto. If you are unable to come out & support this event, please go to the above web site & click on the red “Donate” button. Then under “Honoree Information”, click the button “In memory of” & type in “Edward Christian DeGuisto” or “Kevin T. Malloy”. Wethersfield’s Estate Manager’s family is one of many that have benefited from this organization. Proceeds from this event will help send more grieving children to Comfort Zone Camp.
Helmets are mandatory when mounted. You must provide proof of negative coggins within 2 years of the day of the event. Do not mail coggins. Bring water for your horse(s) as water is not available nearby the trailer parking. ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS WILL BE ALLOWED!
